The Melaune quarry, located not far from the A4 at Niederseifersdorf, is known for its especially distinctive yellow rock colouring. Here, along with the standard items, special products, such as face split 1/3 and 1/2 and the „Schlesische Wegedecke“ are produced. This product was already used in objects such as the Park Sanssouci in Potsdam, the Schloßgarten Charlottenburg in Berlin and the Fürst Pückler Park in Bad Muskau, which was awarded the title of a UNESCO® World Heritage Site in 2004.
These special products are also supplied internationally to customers in many European countries.
